Gloomhaven
A sprawling cooperative campaign of tactical card-driven combat where mercenaries raid dungeons, level up, unlock new abilities, and steer a branching story.
Objective
Work together to complete each scenario's goal (often defeating all enemies or looting a treasure) before the party exhausts.
How to Play
Set Up the Scenario
Build the map, place monsters, and read the goal and loss condition.
Select Two Ability Cards
Each round, secretly choose two cards to set your initiative and actions.
Take Turns in Initiative Order
Players act, then monsters act using their decks.
Manage Your Hand
When you run low on cards, rest to recover the discard but lose a card.
End the Scenario
Win by completing the goal before all characters exhaust.
Winning Conditions
- Win Complete scenario goal
- Fail All characters exhausted
